I was reading mixed opinions about wild yam creams. Most products had low ratings. I read that this is because most wild yam creams contain a very small amount of wild yam extract. Then I came across this cream from Vitabay, a German company from which I had bought high quality supplements before. It has a very high concentration of wild yam extract (80% Wild Yam Extract, 64% Diosgenin per serving). So I gave it a try. And the results?

Pros

It comes in a soft, easy-to-squeeze tube. It is easy to absorb without leaving a greasy feeling. It leaves your skin hydrated, soft and radiant.

Some women claim it helped them with hormonal skin issues. I dont have these so cannot comment on it.

The tube lasts long time as small amount is needed.

Cons

I didn’t notice any changes in hormonal symptoms at all.

It’s not natural. Despite the company’s claims that it is natural, made with high-quality raw materials, and call it a “natural beauty,” it contains a several synthetic / processed ingredients such as Methylpropanediol.

The perfume is too strong and unnatural, which is not common, as most of these hormonal products are made for sensitive skin. After all, arent these perfumes a hormone disruptors? Some of you might like it, but if you are sensitive to histamine issues or looking for an organic cream, I cannot recommend it.

Overall

It is good as a daily use cream for the face and lasts quite a long time, but it doesn’t seem to help with my peri/menopausal symptoms. At that price, you would expect organic ingredients, not ingredients commonly found in cheap brands.
